Though the types of refrigerators vary by brand, there are six basic configurations and a few different installation styles. The six types of fridge configurations are top or bottom freezer, French door, side-by-side, undercounter, and quad door refrigerators. Most refrigerators are freestanding but you can find built-in fridges and counter depth models among the types of refrigerators.
